WV Board OKs 32 Counties’ Dual Credit Policies< < Back to
Policies allowing students to earn college credit in high school have been approved for 32 county school systems.
The West Virginia Board of Education approved the counties' dual credit policies on Wednesday.
Dual credit policies must be approved by the board if college and other advanced courses outside the school setting are used to meet graduation requirements.
State school board president Gayle Manchin says in a news release that dual credit courses are an opportunity to expose students to college level work.
