AEP Power Outage For 1,100 in Athens
< < Back toAs of 6:15 p.m., 1,106 customers are experiencing a power outage along Richland Avenue in Athens, according to AEP Ohio.
The electricity went out at approximately 11:42 a.m on Saturday after a tree fell onto the power lines. AEP servicemen have worked through the day to remove the tree then reconnect the conductors and rehang the lines. AEP estimates that the power will be restored before 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
There are 27,717 AEP Ohio customers in Athens County; this outage affects approximately 3.9% of that population.
