< < Back to ohio-footballs-bowl-streak-stops-five-cats-not-selected-postseason-2014With the regular season now over in college football, postseason matchups were announced today, and for the first time since 2008, Ohio won't be playing in the postseason.
The Mid-American Conference officially announced their postseason teams and lineup, and the Bobcats were not listed.
It was one of the nation's longest streaks, as Ohio, who finished 6-6 overall this season, was one of just 21 teams in the FBS to play in five straight bowl games heading into this season and were 2-3 in those games.
It's now officially the end of the road for the Bobcats' seniors, and the start of a new season for the underclassmen, as they will get the next month of winter break off before beginning winter conditioning in January.
