Can Do: Jackie O’s Brewery Artist Featured At Stuart’s
< < Back toIf you’ve ever enjoyed a can of Jackie O’s beer or attended a Lucero concert, you’re familiar with the artwork of Bryn Perrott, better known by her internet identity, “Deerjerk.”
The Morgantown, West Virginia-based artist has been featured on cans of four different Jackie O’s beers, with a fifth variety due this year, while touring acts such as Lucero and Cory Branan have enlisted her help in designing album art, t-shirts and more.
Starting this Friday, Athens County residents will have a chance to view Perrott’s work at Stuart’s Opera House. A reception is scheduled to coincide with Nelsonville’s Final Fridays event.
A 2004 graduate of West Virginia University, Perrott is known primarily for her woodcuts, although she paints and draws extensively. Her artwork, which references tattoo imagery, print history and her love of animals, has been featured in many private collections, national and international.
Friday’s opening reception will include a cash bar with special drinks from Jackie O’s Brewery and more in the Stuart’s lobby. The show will feature brand new work created especially for the opening.
