A female alleged that she had been sexually assault after a date two weeks ago, according to the Athens County Sheriff’s Office.

The office is seeking more information about the man accused in the incident.

The woman said the alleged sexual assault happened about two weeks ago, after the two had gone to the Athena Grand Movie Theater. She told deputies that on the way home, the male subject pulled off on a side road and began to attempt to grope her.

She was able to get the male subject to stop, but the female then deleted any and all contact information on the male subject after the alleged incident.

The woman said she met the man on meetme.com, a dating website. The male subject used the name, Paul Molly or Molley. The woman said the man was supposedly an Ohio University student who was possibly in the Ohio National Guard or Army reserves.

He was described as 6-feet tall, 160 lbs., with brown eyes and red hair.

The Ohio University Police Department was contacted to gain information on his student status.

“However, there is no records of a Paul Molly/Molley, present nor past student,” the sheriff’s office report stated.

Anyone with information on the incident or is familiar with the man described is asked to contact Deputy John Kulchar at jkulchar@athenssheriff.com.
