A partial list of the Nelsonville Music Festival’s Gladden House Sessions was announced today, with several acts to be confirmed during the festival, scheduled for May 28-31 at Hocking College.

“We’ll have more announcements throughout the weekend, so people should keep an eye on Twitter, Facebook, woub.org and on-site postings for updates,” said Josh Antonuccio, host and producer of The Gladden House Sessions.

The performance area and video series, a co-production of WOUB, Ohio University’s School of Media Arts & Studies and the Nelsonville Music Festival, was launched last year to rave reviews.

Previous Gladden House artists include Pokey LaFarge, Ray Wylie Hubbard and Valerie June, who was a last-minute addition during the 2014 festival. Antonuccio said to expect more surprises this weekend.

“I’ve got tentative commitments from several Main Stage acts, so NMF attendees should be aware that we’ve got some potentially awesome shows on the way. We’ll be posting updates via social media, woub.org and on a dry erase board near the festival gate,” he said.

Confirmed acts include Elephant Revival, Mandolin Orange, The Black Lips and Ben Nichols of Lucero, who will be performing a set on Thursday night (the series was originally to start on Friday, but moved up to accommodate Nichols’ schedule).
