The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) celebrated the completion of the new maintenance facility in Athens County by hosting an open house today.

The new building is a remodeled version of the original building, which was built in 1961.

The new facility was an $8.3 million investment.

The facility has many new features including two fully furnished maintenance bays, a storage unit that can hold more than 5,000 tons of salt, more than 20 security cameras, and a truck wash bay.

The facility will allow employees to respond to the roads more efficiently and effectively.
