Ohio University welcomed freshman and sophomores with four new dorms located on South Green, along with the rest of the new and returning residents of Ohio University.

Tanaka-Luchs and Carr-Sowle are fully furnished with kitchens, laundry facilities, elevators, and spacious bedrooms with private bathrooms.

Sophomores like Londo Farmer, who have lived in the older dorms, are appreciative of the new dorms.

“You can’t even compare the old dorms to the new dorms,” Farmer said.

The new dorms opened right on schedule as predicted when construction for the new dorms first began last summer. The project cost near $110 million and houses about 900 beds.
