Quentin Poling Take MAC East Defensive Player of The Week< < Back to
Ohio linebacker Quentin Poling was named the MAC East Defensive Player of the Week for the third time this season. The sophomore led the Bobcats’ defense in the 34-3 win against the Miami Redhawks on Saturday at Peden Stadium.
Poling had a 25 yard pick six in the beginning of the second half, helping put Ohio increase their lead to 21 points. This was his second interception of the season, the other against Akron last week. Polling also leads the team with a total of 40 tackles.
Ohio’s defense has been strong lately with this being the second week in a row where they have not let their MAC opponent score a touchdown. Ohio’s next game will be Saturday at Peden Stadium against Western Michigan at 12 pm.
