SEOAL

Jackson (6-1, 2-0) | Next opponent: @ Meigs

Jackson’s defense asserted itself as the best in the league after holding an explosive Logan offense to just 21 points. While Jackson’s defense has been consistent all season, its offense has bounced back in a big way since falling 28-7 against Wheelersburg in week five. The Ironmen have scored 76 points over their last two games.

Logan (6-1, 0-1) | Next opponent: @ Columbus St. Francis DeSales

There is no rest for the weary with a trip to 6-1 St. Francis DeSales on the docket. The Stallions have allowed only seven points over their last three games, providing another stiff test for a Logan offense which averages 36 points per contest.

Warren (0-7, 0-1) | Next opponent: @ Gallia Academy

The Warriors put on their finest performance of the season on Friday, holding a 4-3 Union Local team to just 21 points, a season-low for Warren. Friday’s match-up stands as Warren’s best chance at a win with Parkersburg and Logan looming to conclude the season.

Gallia Academy (0-7, 0-0) | Next opponent: Vs. Warren

Gallia Academy’s defense has been suspect, allowing 35.6 points per contest, including 42 to Minford on Friday. Fortunately for the Blue Devils, Warren has scored only 20 points all season.

Mid-State League

Bloom-Carroll (5-2, 3-1) | Next opponent: Vs. Hamilton Township

The Bulldogs sprinted out of the gates against Amanda-Clearcreek on Friday, piling on 193 total yards and 30 points before the half on top of holding the Aces scoreless until the second half. Bloom-Carroll’s offense will need a similar start to keep up with a Hamilton Township team with a knack for scoring.

Fairfield Union (3-4, 1-3) | Next opponent: Vs. Teays Valley

Two of Fairfield Union’s final three opponents boast winning records, including Bloom-Carroll in week nine. This could prove to be problematic for Fairfield Union, whose four losses have come against winning teams in which its defense has allowed an average of 40.5 points per contest to winning teams.

Amanda-Clearcreek (1-6, 0-4) | Next opponent: Vs. Logan Elm

The Aces ripped off touchdown drives of 80 and 99 yards in the fourth quarter, but a slow start doomed the Aces who did not have enough time to mount a comeback.

SVC

Zane Trace (7-0, 4-0) | Next opponent: @ Piketon

Even after going seven for seven to start the season, the Pioneers know better than to let off the gas now. They missed the playoffs last season after finishing 7-3.

Unioto (4-3, 2-2) | Next opponent: @ Huntington

Unioto has hit a bit of a hot streak, winning two in a row, including a 57-16 blowout of Westfall to keep its slim playoff hopes alive.
