Jackson’s (7-1, 2-0) rushing game clicked on all cylinders Friday night.

Eight different players contributed to 536 rushing yards in a 47-6 blowout over Meigs (5-3, 3-1). Collin Massie, Blake McCoy, and Johnny Farley each amassed over 100 yards individually.

Hunter Sexton tacked on 78 yards through the air, in addition to 74 yards on the ground. All in all, the Ironmen finished with a whopping 614 total yards.

Jackson piled on these astronomical numbers despite picking up 12 penalties for 117 yards, many of which came off of personal foul calls.

The Ironmen were ready from the get go, scoring twice in the first quarter, including a 70-yard touchdown sprint from Farley and a 31-yard touchdown pass from Hunter Sexton to Austin Leach.

Meanwhile, Meigs punted three times in the quarter.

The Marauders showed some life in the second quarter when a 56-yard Cody Bartum-Colton Lilly connection set up a Lilly touchdown. However, that would be the extent of Meigs’s productivity.

The often-explosive Marauder offense was kept in check by Jackson, amassing only 199 total yards, 56 of which came on one play alone.

The Ironmen will look to keep the good vibes rolling against Talawanda while Meigs will take on Wellston.
