The Ohio Bobcats made a new addition to their men’s basketball roster Wednesday when forward Jason Carter sent in his letter of intent.
Carter, a senior at Johnstown-Monroe High School, stands at 6-foot-7 215 pounds and brings an already impressive list of accomplishments to the Bobcats. In his junior season, Carter averaged 20.9 points per game, 11.3 rebounds and 2.2 blocks.
At 6-foot-7, Carter is slightly undersized at the power forward position. However, he excels near the rim.
Those numbers were good enough to earn Carter Associated Press First Team All-OHSAA honors as well as lead Johnstown Monroe High School to a 21-4 record and a Licking County League championship.
The addition of Carter fills the only open scholarship the Bobcats have in 2016.
