Federal Hocking Breezes Past Wahama
< < Back toThe Federal Hocking Lady Lancers broke their 10 game losing streak Monday night in a 72-13 win against the Wahama Lady White Falcons.
Heading into the half, Fed Hock had 30 unmatched points.
Hannah Dunfee had a game-high 13 points, three rebounds, and two steals. Destiny Tabler and Miranda Scott both contributed eight points. However, every single Federal Hocking player got into the game and scored at least one basket.
Wahama did not break into double-digits until the middle of the third quarter.
The Lady Lancers executed their offensive plays well which allowed them to shut down Wahama’s defense. Fed Hock was also able to reach a new season high, surpassing their previous high of 57 against the Eastern Eagles.
Coach Jeremy Tolson kept Wahama’s defense guessing as he subbed four to five players out at a time every half quarter.
That was a factor in making sure the Lady Lancers played a full 32 minutes. This is something that has been their kryptonite all season.
However, even after controlling the court and outscoring the Lady White Falcons by 59 points, Tolson knows there is still plenty of work to be done.
“I still see things to correct,” Tolson said. “There’s a lot of fouls and unforced turnovers.”
The Lady Lancers will host Trimble on Thursday, Jan. 14. The Tomcats are sitting on a .500 season compared to FedHock’s .200 but there last match-up was one of the Lady Lancers closest all season.
