Ohio University graduate Frank Norton talks with Tom O’Grady and Cyrus Moore from the Athens County Historical Society about his experience as a Marine in the Vietnam War, and how public opinion of the war shifted after the Tet Offensive in 1968.

This interview is a part of an oral history project, funded by the Ohio Humanities, that the Athens County Historical Society has dubbed, “Athens in Vietnam”. It’s goal is to record stories and experiences of Vietnam vets who are from Athens or chose Athens as their home after the war.

As part of the grant, the Historical Society is putting on a public program called, “The Aftermath of the Vietnam War: Local and Societal Effects”, January 19th, 6:30pm at the Athens Public Library. This event is free and open to the public.
