His office says residents hoping to attend the annual address can enter the lottery by submitting their names through the office’s website. Each person can request two free tickets. The deadline is noon on March 25.
Kasich spokesman Joe Andrews says they don’t know exactly how many tickets will be available for the public, but in past years it has been about 50. Those who are chosen will be notified by email by April 1.
Kasich has delivered the speech in Lima, Medina, Steubenville and Wilmington in recent years, instead of making the traditional address at the Statehouse in Columbus.
