Earlier today, Stuart’s Opera House announced more acts and a new fundraising effort for this year’s Nelsonville Music Festival, scheduled for June 2-5 at Hocking College.

According to a release, “The goal is to always improve the experience of coming to the Nelsonville Music Festival, working to add new elements in to NMF and continuing to develop existing ones. In this spirit, the festival is launching an online fundraising campaign to support a brand new stage at this year’s NMF, but not just any stage. This one is from an old boxcar on loan from the Hocking Valley Scenic Railway.”

In addition to hosting 22 sets of music over four days, the boxcar will also feature a public mural created at the festival by artist Barry O’Keefe. Those wishing to support the stage may donate at Indiegogo at https://igg.me/at/nmfboxcar or nelsonvillefest.org. Perks for support include Boxcar t-shirts, limited edition prints from the mural artist, on-stage seating for NMF headliners, the donor’s name on the boxcar, and more.

Several more acts were also announced, including Aoife O’Donovan, Kiss the Viper’s Fang (A tribute to David Bowie by Marco Benevento & Superhuman Happiness), Saintseneca, Yonatan Gat, Chris Forsyth & The Solar Motel Band, Amasa Hines, Korey Dane, Suitcase Junket, Superhuman Happiness, Zeb Dewar, Sega Genocide, Kizzy Hall, Slackluster, Chris Biester, Erick Coleman, Aaron Butler and Corbin Marsh. This brings the total number of acts to 62.

Weekend passes, single day tickets and camping are on sale now. For information, including the full lineup of performers, visit nelsonvillefest.org or call 740-753-1924.
