ARTS/West and Misfits Theatre present “A Little Princess: a New Musical”
< < Back toARTS/West has announced a new partnership with Misfits Theatre as of April 29, 2016. Previously known as Scene One Theatre, Misfits Theatre is currently run by executive director Brandon Mohammed and artistic director Matthew Johnson. Focused on originality and innovation in the arts, both ARTS/West and Misfits Theatre plan to bring a stronger presence of quality community theatre to Athens.
As their debut production as strategic partners, Misfits Theatre and ARTS/West are proud to present A Little Princess: A New Musical by Brian Crawley and Andrew Lippa on August 19, 20, 21, 26, 27 and 28.
Auditions for the production will be held at ARTS/West on June 4 and June 5 from 2 p.m. 5 p.m.
Those auditioning only need to come one day, but should plan to stay the whole time. They are asked to prepare 16-32 bars of a song to sing a cappella. There will not be an accompanist. They will also be asked to do some readings from the script and learn some choreography as a group, so those auditioning should dress to dance. All ages are welcome.
