Check out Joan Shelley and Nathan Salsburg on this edition of the 2016 Gladden House Sessions.

Originally from Louisville, KY, Joan Shelley is a folk singer-songwriter whose smooth and harmonious voice is reminiscent of both American and British folk revival artists. Last year Shelley released the critically acclaimed Over and Even, which features Salsburg on guitar. Shelley has crafted two other solo albums, Ginko (2012) and Electric Ursa (2014) and has recorded two additional albums with her trio Maiden Radio.

Shelley and Salsburg started their set with “Stay on my Shore,” from Over and Even. The next song, “Easy Now” soothed the large audience and provided a mellow, yet enthralling vibe to the cabin. For her final song, Shelley pulled out the title track from her most recent release.
