Huntington Daycare Shut Down Following Shooting
< < Back toHUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) — The State of West Virginia is shutting down a private daycare in Huntington following a shooting at the house on Sunday.
Allison Adler, director of communications for the DHHR, tells WSAZ the state has reviewed the incident. Adler says the DHHR has made the decision to close the daycare immediately.
Huntington Police responded to reports of a shooting about 6 a.m. Sunday in the 400 block of Norway Avenue.
According to police, a man was shot inside the house and walked out into the road. He was later taken to a hospital with unspecified injuries.
No children were inside the daycare at the time of the shooting. No arrests have been made.
