Fire Kills Child in Point Pleasant

POINT PLEASANT, W.Va. (AP) — Authorities say a child has died in a fire that destroyed a house in Mason County.
Firefighters responded to a home in Point Pleasant shortly before 2 a.m. Sunday. Media outlets report a juvenile died in the fire and another was transported to a hospital with unknown injuries.
State Fire Marshal Jason Baltic says a Point Pleasant firefighter also was treated at a hospital and released.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
