The Mid-Ohio Valley’s hometown River Cities Symphony Orchestra kicks off its 2016/2017 season on Saturday, Oct. 29 at 7:30 p.m. with its Halloween Concert.

The event will be held at the Peoples Bank Theatre, 222 Putnam Street, Marietta. Tickets are $15, $20 and $25 and may be purchased online at www.peoplesbanktheatre.com, by phone at 740- 371-5152 or at the ticket office.

The River Cities Symphony Orchestra has built a reputation of delivering both on creative and technically demanding performances, as in their April choral concert, and approachable and familiar material, such as in their recent Summer Pops performance. Expect their Halloween concert to deliver the chills and goosebumps you’ve come to expect. Maestro Turizziani has stirred up a great program of holiday-themed music, starting with The Noon Witch, Op. 108, by Antonin Dvorak, and including the Danse Macabre, by Camille Saint- Saëns, Symphony No. 8 (Unfinished) by Franz Schubert, and Violin Concerto No. 1 by Max Bruch. The RCSO will also feature the talents of Christina Bouey as violin soloist. Corporate concert sponsors are Rossi Pasta, and Tenney and Associates. Funding is provided in part by Artsbridge.
