The Eastern Lady Eagles traveled to Tomcat territory to take on Trimble in this TVC-Ohio matchup looking to bounce back after falling in two consecutive in-conference games. After an extremely slow and ugly start to the game, Eastern pulled away in the second half dominating the Trimble Lady Tomcats 65-31.

After ending the first half ahead 24-15, Eastern needed to make some halftime adjustments. Eastern tightened up its defense and began forcing the hand of Trimble. It was obvious at the start of the second half that the Lady Tomcats had no answer for the extremely aggressive defense of the Lady Eagles.

Eastern dominated both sides of the floor in the second half. The Lady Eagles held Trimble to only eight points for the remainder of the game. The Eagles would outpace them 41-8 to close out the second half.

Elizabeth Collins dominated the paint for the Lady Eagles with 22 points and seven rebounds. Becca Pullins found her rhythm from downtown nailing four 3-pointers and totaling 12 points on the night. Laura Pullins dominated the glass tallying 10 rebounds and nine points.

Skylar Moore, the leading scorer for the Lady Tomcats, put up eight points and five boards. The rest of the team was not so fortunate. The Lady Tomcats managed to put together 23 turnovers and were outscored 23-3 in the fourth quarter.

Eastern finishes their season with 17 wins and four loses, and earning a first round bye. They will play the winner of Miller vs. South Gallia of Feb. 18 at 1:00 at Meigs High school.

Trimble takes on St. Joseph in the first round of the playoffs on Monday night at 7:30 at Meigs High School.
