Roehn Named to Closer Watch List

Ohio Baseball pitcher Jake Roehn was named to the 2017 Stopper of the Year Preseason Watch List by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association. Roehn, a redshirt junior, is the only player from the Mid-American Conference to make the list.
Roehn came out of the Bobcat bullpen last season and led Ohio with a 2.18 earned run average in 45.1 innings pitched. Roehn finished the season 2-2 with seven saves and 43 strikeouts.
The Bobcats look to improve on last season’s 23-29 record that kept them out of the MAC Tournament.
Ohio begins its season Friday against La Salle and will continue against La Salle and Butler on Saturday and Sunday.
