The Athens County Community Choir, founded and directed by board certified music therapist and Neurologic Music Therapist Stephanie H. Morris, is a choir for ALL voices. It is made up of people with varying levels of developmental abilities, Ohio University Music Therapy and other students and community members.

Morris has expanded the choir since its inception in 2011 and has developed another choir specifically for Beacon School students for the first time ever.

WOUB’s Robin Barnes invited Morris to Studio B to discuss the choirs, their development, their needs, their upcoming performances.
This program features samples of music from Athens County Community Singers’ first album, “Christmas Favorites”, produced in 2016 at the Ohio University School of Music Recital Hall.

More information about the groups, including performance dates and applications can be found on their Facebook page.

Or by contacting Morris at 888 313-5552 ext 3.
