Contemporary Ceramics and Visiting Artists Headed to Dairy Barn
< < Back toThe Dairy Barn Arts Center announces our most recent exhibition, Contemporary Ceramics 2017, open to the public Saturday, September 23 at 12 p.m. The exhibition is curated by Brad Schwieger, Professor of Ceramics, Area Chair at Ohio University and will feature 30 top national artists working in the ceramic medium.
“Established artists who collectively articulated a diversity of materials, processes and ideas were the criteria for selecting work for this exhibition,” said Schwieger. “These sculptures and vessels by thirty artists will captivate, entertain and challenge you.”
The opening reception of Contemporary Ceramics 2017 will be held on Friday, September 22 from 5-7 p.m. at The Dairy Barn Arts Center. The show will run until November 25 with gallery hours Tuesday-Saturday 12-5 p.m. and Sunday 1-5 p.m. Admission is $5 and free all day on Wednesdays.
This year, the Dairy Barn is participating in National Clay Week from October 9-15, featuring photo galleries, hands on clay collaborations and open studios. Check out all the free, open-to-everyone, clay-centered events at dairybarn.org/events.
