On Friday, October 13, James Elkington will bring his distinctive style of acoustic fingerpicking guitar to Stuart’s Opera House alongside bandmate Joan Shelley. Earlier this year, Elkington released his debut solo effort, Wintres Woma. WOUB’s Emily Votaw spoke to Elkington about his first solo record, what role nostalgia plays in his work, and why he likes playing in other people’s bands so much.
