The Ohio State Old time Fiddlers Competition is held every year in August during the Parade of the Hills in Nelsonville, OH. The longstanding competition was originally held each summer at the Ohio State Fair in columbus, but was later moved to beautiful southeastern Ohio.

This year the Old Time Fiddlers Competition will be held on Friday, August 17 in the historic Stuart’s Opera House on the Public Square in Nelsonville. While retaining its original historic beauty and charm, the opera house has been recently expanded and remodeled, making it the perfect venue for the Old Time Fiddlers Competition.

The Old Time Fiddlers Competition is certified by Weiser. If you would like to compete, you can register online by going to the Parade of the Hills website. You can submit your entry there, or you can register on the day of the contest at Stuart’s Opera House. Sign in on the day of the competition will be between 4 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. No entry fee applies. Tickets for audience members are $8 each.
