CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) – The West Virginia Ethics Commission has issued a public reprimand of an assistant high school principal who admitted using a board of education purchasing card to buy table cloths and other items that she used at her wedding.

The commission on Thursday also assessed a $2,000 fine as part of a conciliation agreement with Marcella Charles-Casto, the assistant principal at Mingo Central Comprehensive High School.

She also admitted buying chair covers, bands and sash slips in early 2016 with the Mingo County school board purchasing card. The Ethics Commission said in a news release that Charles-Casto used 194 items at her wedding, then returned them to the school. The release said all but 10 of the items were new when used at the wedding.

She was also ordered to undergo ethics training.
