CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) – An airport in West Virginia is set to get a $3.7 million Federal Aviation Administration grant for projects including an aviation school and air freight facility.

Yeager Airport is also set to get $412,000 from the state for the projects. The Charleston airport and Marshall University are working to create the airport aviation education program.

The funds also will be used to create a two-lane road that will allow drivers to access the 25-acre plot of land where the school and other developments are planned. Other projects include additional hangers and an aircraft maintenance center. The projects may start being developed this year.
