Four Face Criminal Charges After Fatal Overdose In Gallia County

GUYAN TOWNSHIP, OH — Four people have been charged after an investigation into an overdose death this summer in Gallia County.
Crown City residents Dale Finely, 45, Fred Wray, 62, and John Addis, 47, face charges abuse of a corpse and tampering with evidence. Rickey Whitt, 33, also of Crown City, has been charged with trafficking in fentanyl.
The Gallia County Sheriff’s Office on July 11 responded to a report that resulted in the discovery of a dead body in a motor vehicle, according to Sheriff Matt Champlin. Investigators determined that the person had died of a drug overdose.
An investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
