Ohio University’s West 82 has decided to get in the Bobcat spirit and go green.

West 82 has decided to get rid of all waste in the food court unless students are taking their food to go. The decision came after Ohio University began to crack down on recycling within its own food courts over the 2018 summer. Dinning halls now offer plastic to go bins for a single charge of $5, while their cardboard to go box’s are fifty cents each.

West 82 has adopted a similar style where students can only get bags when the leave. Which reduces waste for those who dine in the establishment.

Students who visit the establishment frequently however, complain that the bags they give students are too small or that it’s hard to carry food out to tables without a bag.

Whatever the case may be West 82 has made a stance and that stance is one in favor of the Athens environment.
