WOUB EXCLUSIVE: Adam Remnant’s ‘Sourwood’ Music Video

WOUB is proud to present the music video for Adam Remnant’s “Sourwood,” the eponymous track from his debut solo full-length, released last year on AnyWay Records, right here.
The mini-film is a romantic, impressionistic nod to the Mid-Ohio Valley’s greatest mystery, as well as a bit of a science fiction narrative that involves not one, but two, local Kroger locations. Numerous familiar locales are utilized throughout the film, from the illuminated marquee of Point Pleasant, WV’s State Theater during the Mothman Festival to the rolling hills behind the East State Street Big Lots in Athens.
Much like Sourwood as an album, the video for the titular track feels like a meditation on the unexpected and undeniable magic of domestic life.
The music video release comes right before Remnant will perform on Mountain Stage, which will return to Ohio University’s Templeton-Blackburn Alumni Memorial Auditorium on Sunday, April 7. Also featured on the upcoming installment of Mountain Stage will be The Lone Bellow, Over the Rhine, Anna Tivel, and Scott Mulvahill. All seats reserved. Students: $12, Senior: $18, General: $20.
