NMF ’19 Interviews: Skyway Man

Skyway Man is the intricate, ufology-informed, delectably hazy folk futurism project of lauded musician James Wallace (of Nashville’s James Wallace & the Naked Light.) In 2017, Wallace released the sprawling Skyway Man double LP Seen Comin’ From a Mighty Eye (Yewknee Records), a project whose conceptual nature is difficult to articulate but a lot of fun to listen to.
WOUB’s Emily Votaw spoke to Wallace about a duo of beautiful Skyway Man music videos, his hopes for performing at the 2019 Nelsonville Music Festival, and, much to Votaw’s delight and surprise, the region’s most celebrated enigma, Mothman.
