Hocking College Chosen As Part Of Foster Youth Education Grant< < Back to
Hocking College is one of 19 colleges and universities throughout Ohio to receive a grant for more than 20,000 dollars.
The grant will be used for financial support towards students from the foster care system completing a certificate.
The grant is for short-term certificates that take less than one year to complete.
Ohio Governor Mike DeWine says the grant will help foster youth to earn the certificate and credentials required for many in-demand jobs.
The grant equally divides a statewide total of 385,000 dollars throughout the 19 schools.
It is called “The Short-Term Cerificate Foster Youth Grant.”
