BOISE, Idaho — New year, new coach. Frank Solich will be coaching the Ohio Bobcats through the 2021 season after agreeing to a 2-year contract extension. Frank has made it very clear that his passion for the game, even at age 75, has not changed one bit.

“I feel really good about it,” Frank Solich said on his new contract. “As long as my health is good, as long as I still love the game as long as we’re able to play at a tempo where I’m not holding guys back, we’ll just take things a step at a time.”

Solich’s relationship with new Ohio athletic director Julie Cromer made it easy to see the big picture.

“It ended up being something that worked very smoothly between the parties,” Solich said. “We have a new AD in Julie Cromer. She’s been great in terms of visiting with and realizing her direction and hoe she wanted to take the program basically the same as my direction and so i was glad to sign the extension,” Solich said.
