Jonathan Hawkins’ to Perform ‘Songs and Folklore’ Sept. 19
< < Back to jonathan-hawkins-to-perform-songs-and-folklore-sept-19Saturday, September 19, Beckley Art Center will present a virtual, pre-recorded performance by Jonathan Hawkins (Little Lawnmowers) entitled “Songs and Folklore: A Collection of Music and History of the Early Blues in the American Midwest and South.”
The performance will feature Hawkins’ renditions of traditional early blues and jazz music, bossa nova and samba, and his original compositions. The event is ticketed (you can purchase tickets at this link), and the approximately 45-minute stream will be available starting at 12 a.m. on Saturday. The performance will be accessible to ticket holders for 24 hours.
Additionally, Hawkins is raffling off various Little Lawnmowers merchandise. Ticket holders for the event will be automatically entered into a drawing to win, as well as those who share information about the performance on social media with the tags @hawkinssound or @LittleLawnmowers. Winners will be announced Saturday, October 3.
