Unofficial Election Results For Hocking County

Here are the unofficial results in Hocking County for Ohio’s general election according to the county board of Elections. Only local races are listed.

For the Ohio State Board of Education, for District 9, Ron Hood (R) received 5,752 votes and Michelle Newman (D) received 5,019 votes. This district contains all, or portions of, 12 other counties.

For the Ohio Court of Appeals Judge, District 4, Hocking County residents  gave Kristy Wilkin (R)  5,275 votes and Stacy Brooks (D)  4,776 votes. This district includes 13 other counties.

Hocking County Commissioner Gary Waugh (R) kept his seat,  receiving 8,938 votes to Pat Hartman’s (D)  4,104 votes.

For the Benton Township 1 mill Fire Protection Levy there were 255 votes FOR the levy and 145 votes AGAINST.

For the Green Township 2 mills Road Levy there were 933 votes FOR and 484 votes AGAINST.

For the Laurel Township 0.5 mill Recreation Center Levy, there were 356 votes FOR and 256 AGAINST.

For the Salt Creek Township 1 mill Fire Protection Levy, there were 287 votes FOR and 204 AGAINST.

For the Ward Township 1.5 mills Fire Protection Levy, there were 284 votes FOR and 130 AGAINST.

The Berne Union Local School District  2% Income Tax for Operating Expenses did not pass in Hocking County. There were 14 votes FOR and 18 votes AGAINST the measure but this district also includes a portion of Fairfield County.
