Yost spokesman Steve Irwin said Thursday that Yost tested positive over the holidays.
Yost is the first statewide officeholder to test positive.
Gov. Mike DeWine announced a positive test last year but a follow-up test hours later was negative.
Data show Ohio’s case numbers remain high but the 7-day rolling average of daily new cases did not increase over the past two weeks.
