Want an internship that will give you the practical, hands-on experience you need to get a job after graduation? Be part of an immersive summer internship experience at WOUB Public Media and get PAID. Interns spend 11 weeks (5/15/23 – 7/28/23) producing news and information content for an PBS/NPR member station which serves an audience across southeast Ohio. Interns can work both in front of and behind the camera. Applications are being excepted until Friday, February 24, 2023.

Available positions:
Multiplatform Reporter – Plan, edit and produce news stories as assigned for WOUB’s TV, radio and web audience. Anchoring opportunities for WOUB’s daily television newscast and weekly news magazine podcast as desired.
Weather Forecaster – Analyze data to prepare and issue forecast products, advisories, and warnings for WOUB’s weather desk on social media and broadcast platforms. Deliver forecast to WOUB’s audience using industry standard equipment during daily live television newscast. Plan, edit and produce multiplatform content explaining the region’s weather. Broadcast meteorology or meteorology major required.
Producer -Develop the rundown for WOUB’s daily television newscast by curating stories from various sources and content partners. Write stories and build graphics for the newscast. Work with director and talent to execute the live newscast. Work with editors and reporters to push in house content to social media.
Videographer/Editor – Create video stories either independently or working with reporters.
Use video editing software tools to produce video elements and stories for WOUB’s daily television newscast. Work in studio as either a camera operator, floor director or other positions as needed during the live television newscast.
Photojournalist – Work with reporters to create storytelling visuals for online and broadcast platforms in the form of single images, galleries, and photo essays. Serve as in-house photographer for WOUB.
