Isolation 37: Dreampop
Genres are always defined after the fact. Popular music historians, with varying degrees of accuracy, will then identify the progenitors and attribute the ‘seminally’ important milestones that they missed while it was actually happening. After all, it has to be called something in order to be labelled and marketed it to an unsuspecting audience with disposable income, right?
I have no idea what Dreampop is, but if I had to conjecture without Google or Wikipedia, it would probably sound a lot like this week’s selections. Bombs away, dream babies, and thank you, as always, for listening.

This week’s playlist is another random bits of effluvium that have gone to my brain. No logic in any of it. However, if you have been paying attention to any media lately can you make the connection between The Beatles and Queen songs? I watched Bohemian Rhapsody the other day and chose the Live Aid version. If you are too young to know what Live Aid is you should check it out. It was a great day in the history of music.
