TVC-Ohio Standings

1st Vinton County Vikings (11-4, 8-1)

The Vikings closed out the week as the #1 team in the TVC-Ohio with wins over Meigs and Wellston. After besting Nelsonville-York earlier in the season, all eyes will be on Albany as Vinton County will face Alexander in a potential title deciding matchup. If Vinton County seals the deal, they’ll officially be the undisputed champs of the TVC-Ohio.

2nd Alexander Spartans (11-7, 8-1)

The Lady Spartans sole win against Wellston this past week was enough for them to stay in title contention for the TVC-Ohio. They’ll look to finish the regular season this week as champions with a title deciding match against Vinton County this Thursday. With a win, the Spartans can close out the season as champions so long as they also beat Nelsonville-York on Saturday.

3rd Nelsonville-York Buckeyes (10-9, 7-3)

Nelsonville-York took care of business against Wellston this past Thursday, but were quickly bested by undefeated Trimble on Saturday. The Buckeyes need a miracle to win a share of the TVC-Ohio title, which includes winning both of their remaining conference games — against River Valley and Alexander.

4th Athens Bulldogs (4-13, 4-5)

The Bulldogs leapfrogged Meigs for the fourth spot in the TVC-Ohio rankings on a tiebreaker, thanks to their win over the Marauders earlier in the season. Last week, Athens got back on track with a sole win against River Valley. They are looking to maintain this spot in the rankings with a heavy load of matchups against Vinton County, Wellston, Meigs and Unioto.

5th Meigs Marauders (12-5, 4-5)

Meigs was able to secure a win on Wednesday against Point Pleasant but fell to the fifth spot in the TVC-Ohio rankings following a loss against Vinton County. The Marauders will take this final week of their regular season to prepare for a potential playoff push as they face off against Alexander, River Valley and Athens this week.

6th River Valley Raiders (5-11, 1-7)

The Raiders suffered two loses this week against Jackson and Athens, extending their losing streak to six games. The Raiders will look to snap the streak to end the season with games against Nelsonville-York, Meigs and South Gallia.

7th Wellston Golden Rockets (4-14, 0-10)

The Golden Rockets remained winless in conference play following losses against conference opponents Vinton County, Alexander and Nelsonville-York. Their last chance to record a conference win on the season will come this Thursday against Athens.

TVC-Hocking Standings

1st  Trimble Tomcats (16-1, 9-0)

The Tomcats remained the top team in their division following an overtime victory on Wednesday against state ranked Berne Union. Trimble now have their eyes set on what could be the biggest game of the season on Monday against state-ranked conference rival Waterford. With a win, Trimble will cement themselves another TVC-Hocking title.

2nd Waterford Wildcats (14-3, 8-1)

Waterford is currently on the coattails of Trimble for first place in the TVC-Hocking following wins this week against South Gallia and Southern. Their matchup against the Tomcats will be the biggest one of the season: with a win, the Wildcats are in the driver’s seat to potentially steal the title on the last week of the season.

3rd  South Gallia Rebels (13-5, 7-3)

The Lady Rebels started their week off right with a blowout win against Eastern but were unable to capitalize against top ranked Waterford on Thursday. They’ll be looking at the week ahead as a chance to prepare for the tournament with games against Belpre, Trimble and River Valley.

4th  Eastern Eagles (8-8, 4-4)

The Lady Eagles remained at .500 following their loss against South Gallia on Thursday. The Eagles have yet to get more than one game above .500 this season; they’ll have the chance to do so this week against Federal Hocking and Southern this week.

5th   Belpre Golden Eagles (5-14, 3-7)

The Golden Eagles were able to record a win in their sole game this week against Southern on Thursday. Belpre will look to finish their conference play on a light note against South Gallia and Federal Hocking this week.

6th  Federal Hocking Lancers (2-10, 2-7)

The Lady Lancers were able to sweep Southern on the season with a win on Saturday, locking in the 6th place ranking for the time being. Federal Hocking has yet to beat a team outside of Southern this season and will be looking to do so this week against Eastern, Belpre and Waterford.

7th Southern Tornadoes (3-16, 0-11)

The Lady Tornadoes extended to seven this week following their losses against Waterford, Belpre and Federal Hocking. They’ll have one more chance to record a conference win this Thursday against Eastern.
