Garden Tour and raffle to benefit Athens County Humane Society June 4
< < Back toATHENS – The Athens County Humane Society presents the 2023 Annual Garden Tour and Raffle on Sunday, June 4.
All proceeds benefit the Athens County Humane Society’s services to the community, such as their spay/neuter clinic for cats and dogs. The Society also recently hired humane agents to investigate and address reported cases of animal cruelty and neglect in our community.
This year’s Garden Tour highlights eight gardens within Athens City limits or a very short drive outside. Spend a wonderful Sunday afternoon touring gardens (plus a side tour of Athens Murals).
The tour takes place 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and tickets can be purchased both online at athenshumane.org or on the day of the event at the Athens County Visitor Bureau (667 East State Street) located in front of the Athens Community Center.

There are three raffle packages for this year’s Annual Garden Tour (you don’t have to be present to enter or win).
Gardener Package- Flat of native plants from Companion Plants, Colorful pots from Hyacinth Bean, Assorted gardening tools from Greenleaf Landscapes, $100 certificate from M&A Lawn Care
Self Care Package- Massage by Iris Rose Wellness, Pedicure by Euphoria, Manicure by Sky Nails, Assorted package of candles and scents from the Import House, Lavender shampoo from the Farmacy. (retail value of approx $250)
Bird Watcher Package- Stone bird path by Rod’s Unique Concrete, Squirrel-proof birdfeeder from White’s Mill, 50 Lb sunflower seed from Buckley Brothers, Feeder and suet cakes from Lowes. (retail value of about $250)
