Our New Look

Have you seen us?

We’ve been doing lots of traveling around the region and our new van has been awesome. Its so bright and fun that we just feel like singing a happy song. Look for us around and tag us on social media when you see us.

Getting ready for school

We’ve been busy!

We started ordering and stuffing backpacks in early spring to be ready to help families get their learners ready to go back to school. We’ve distributed around 400 backpacks filled with supplies at events in Athens county and Barnesville. This week we are headed to Perry County and Gallia County. If you see us out and about stop by and say hello. We may just have some fun PBS Kids things to share with you.

Ohio Learns 360 Events

As we enter the 2nd year of our Ohio Learns 360 project we want to engage with you. In addition to Virtual Field Trips, Family Webinars, After School 360 Read Alongs and Camp in a Box, this grant provides for engaging events with our communities. We’ve hosted coding events, attended Back to School events and led programming for After School Programs. If your school or programs host events that support learning we may be able to help. If we can’t attend in person we have other ways we can help you support the learning for children of all ages in your area. Contact us at woublearninglab@woub.org

Space Resources

NOVA Science Studio

NOVA Science Studio is a program that empowers students with the skills to tell engaging stories about science through short-form video. The NOVA Science Studio is NOVA’s first project to create educational resources to teach science journalism and communication to high school teens aged 14-18.

Beginning in Fall 2023, the NOVA Science Studio program will be adapted into a decentralized model, where schools will sign up to participate and can access the curriculum directly through PBS LearningMedia. NOVA will provide video production templates, resources, and guidelines for student videos including video formatting and the use of third party materials.
