Officers are searching for suspects in the death of a Pomeroy woman

ATHENS, Ohio (WOUB) — Deputies are searching for suspects they identified after a Pomeroy woman was killed early Tuesday morning.
Meigs County Sheriff Scott Fitch said deputies responded to the scene of a homicide on State Route 733 in Pomeroy. The victim was identified as Tina M. Johnson, who was 60.
Fitch did not say how the woman was killed but that she suffered injuries resulting in her death.
“Persons of interest have been identified in this case by the Sheriff’s Office and efforts are being made to locate them,” Fitch said. “This was an isolated incident with motive by the suspects and there is no threat to the public at this time.”
