ATHENS, Ohio – The Southeast Ohio History Center is hosting regional artist Sandy Plunkett with a presentation about the history of the comic book on Thursday, November 9 from 4:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Graphic novels, webtoons, comic cons, cosplay- where did they all originate? What led to Spiderman, The Avengers and the entire Marvel Comics Universe? Former comic artist and writer Sandy Plunkett will explore these questions in a talk titled, “Origins of the Comic Book.”
