HAPCAP’s Winter Crisis Program is now accepting applications

ATHENS, Ohio (WOUB) — Help is available this winter for low-income residents in the HAPCAP service area who need emergency heating.

The Winter Crisis Program of Hocking Athens Perry Community Action is again accepting applications.

Households with a total gross income at or below 175% of the federal poverty level can apply.

Benefits include 175 dollars for regulated utilities, 750 dollars for non-regulated utilities, bulk fuels up to 1200 dollars, firewood up to 650 dollars and furnace repair up to 1500 dollars.

Applications will be accepted until March 31st.
