Here are the unofficial 2024 primary election results for Athens County

ATHENS, Ohio (WOUB) — A total of 22.79% of registered voters in Athens County cast ballots in Tuesday’s primary election, according to unofficial results.

Taylor Sappington will be on the November ballot for Athens County Treasurer after defeating Beth Clodfelter in the primary race. Sappington received 2,349 votes while Clodfelter received 1,969 votes.

Athens County voters passed a senior citizens services levy with 4,969 votes for the levy compared to 3,468 against it.

Voters in Carthage Township passed a fire protection levy by a vote of 139 to 104.

In Lodi Township, voters passed a permanent improvements levy and a road maintenance levy. The permanent improvements levy passed with 211 votes for the levy compared to 203 against it. The road maintenance levy passed by a vote of 227 to 189.

Over in Rome Township voters passed a fire protection levy by a vote of 122 to 80. Residents also passed a cemetery levy 121 to 82.
