DRESDEN, OH (WOUB)- The Tri-Valley Scotties ripped the Clinton-Massie Falcons right out of the sky.

The game started with an hour long delay for inclement weather. Despite the hail and rain, this did not stop the fans from coming out and supporting their teams.

Clinton-Massie would kick off to Tri-Valley to start this whirlwind of a game. With some back and forth ball going on, it would take until five minutes to go in the first quarter for the Falcons to score a rushing touchdown.

The Scotties would respond to this rush with Max Lyall throwing to Keaton Hahn for a passing touchdown. This would end the first quarter for a tied score.

The second quarter would start out hot for the Falcons with a third down on Tri-Valley’s thirteen yard line. The Scotties would put up their brick wall defense in order to make sure that Clinton-Massie would not see their way through.

However, the Falcons decided to fly and sent the ball soaring in the air with a twenty-yard field goal.

With five minutes left in the first half, there would be a turnover on downs due to Tri-Valley being on their fourth down with the ball on the thirty-six yard line. The possession would be turned over to Clinton-Massie, and they would go to score a twenty-eight yard field goal.

The first half would end with an explosion of emotion from both the players, fans, and the sky. It started pouring down again, yet this would amp up the crowd and get the teams ready to come out for the second half.

Going into the second half the endzone would not see any action until the fourth quarter. The third quarter was filled with a ton of tension with both teams seeing the ball on their side of the field.

Into the fourth quarter with nine minutes left the falcons turned over possession on a missed field goal. Tri-Valley then has the ball on their own fifteen yard line. Two minutes later things would heat up exponentially as the Scotties completed a twenty-one yard pass for a touchdown leaving the score 14-13.

This was an upset that Clinton-Massie could not come back from. Tri-Valley held onto the one point lead and bolted away with the win. This leaves them three and zero for their record this season.

The Tri-Valley Scotties will be back in action on September 13, where they will face the Morgan Raiders.
