The Meigs Marauders were on the road all last week against two TSL opponents. They began with the Fort Frye Cadets on Tuesday and won 59-35. They hoped to continue their win streak with a matchup at Warren on Friday, where they’d face one of their toughest tests yet. After a hard-fought and close battle, the Marauders took their first loss of the season 70-54. They bounced back the next day against River Valley and won 84-31.
Meigs will stay in-conference this week with matchups at Wellston on Tuesday and at home versus Vinton County on Friday.

The Vikings faced two opponents this week, an out of conference Fairfield Union Falcons team and the in-conference River Valley Raiders. Vinton County fell to Fairfield Union 77-55, causing them to fall to 5-7 on the season. Two days later, the Vikings met the Raiders in Bidwell.
Propelled by senior guards Cobra Sharp and Hayden Reynolds, Vinton County pulled out a 77-64 win to stay right in that second seed and right behind the Marauders. The Vikings look ahead to hosting Alexander and travelling to Meigs and Nelsonville-York next week.
Vinton County entered a stretch of in-conference games, and the next two weeks could make or break their chances at the top seed.
T3. Nelsonville-York Buckeyes | 9-5 (Conf. 4-2)

The Nelsonville-York Buckeyes had back-to-back games on Friday and Saturday, going 1-1 on the week. Their one win was a big one, as they defeated the Athens Bulldogs while on the road in a much-anticipated rematch. That 55-54 overtime victory featured a Bean Martin three-pointer to send it into overtime, and a Cameron Sullivan game-winning three-pointer to seal the deal. That win propelled Nelsonville-York into third place in the conference, breaking their tie with Athens.
The Buckeyes will return to action this week with three conference games against River Valley, Alexander, and Vinton County. A couple of wins this week could give Nelsonville-York just the push they need to have a chance at the conference crown.

The team prepares to host the River Valley Raiders in a tense revenge game for the Vikings, having lost to the Lady Raiders 56-34 early in the season.
