Alexander head coach Morgan Grinstead is excited for tournament time, which is right around the corner.
“You know, tournament time is my favorite time of the year,” Grinstead said. “We still have two games left this week, we play Meigs again on Thursday and that’s our senior night. I told them we need to be focused the next couple practices we have.”
Meigs head coach Heath Hudson has seen improvement on the offensive end for his squad.
“I think they are getting better at actually running offenses,” Hudson said. “Baby steps at this point. They still need to work a lot on more advanced things, getting out of one set into the other, but they are getting better at it.”
As coach said, Alexander plays Meigs at home on Thursday, before their first game of the tournament on Feb. 13, where they will take on Southeastern.
Meigs will take on Minford in their first tournament game on Feb. 13 as well.
